.................... Will be Becoming a Retirement Livery ( Looked after by ourselves) at the farm on the following terms: (delete as appropiate)
Package at £60 per week to include:
Your horse to be cared for full livery, he/she will be stabled at night and spend long days grazing in the field. Price covers, large indoor barn stable and grazing, bedding, unlimited hay/hayledge, rug changes, daily grooming, feed, turning out and bringing in , worming and feet trimming. Vets fees are additional. Suppliments are additional.
The services to be provided by the yard
Fencing will be maintained
Water will be provided in the fields
General Maintinence will be provided to facilities in the yard
Hay or Hayledge will be brought in and available
Yard Blacksmith Visits will be arranged
Strict Worming programmes in place and followed up
Rag wort in fields will be removed
Yard Rules and Terms
- The yard is open from 9am untill 8.30pm for you to visit your retired horse, any activity outside of these hours by prior arrangement
- Payment to the farm for your Livery MUST be made in advance with no exceptions, either weekly in cash or Monthy by Direct debit or standing order
- A bond for each horse of £100 shall be taken and kept at the yard in advance of any retirement horse coming to Windy Bank Farm. This is separate to any weekly fee and shall cover us in the event of non payment. This £100 is returnable should you leave the yard having settled your weekly fees or in the event of your Retirement horses death should all other fees owing to us have been paid
- No dogs allowed to be brought to the farm (due to our own dogs and the fact we have a pet grooming salon on site)
- Our Own dogs must not be left in the field when going to visit your horse
- We have strict worming programmes in place your horse will be wormed when due
- Suppliments must be provided by the owner if required
- Any concerns with any horses declining health within our care will where possible will be discussed with the owner first before seeking vet treatment(not always possible when decline requires immediate attention), The owner shall pay for vets fee's incurred
- We reserve the right to call the vet for any animal in our care that we believe needs a vet if we cannot contact you the owner.
- Any breakages of any facilities must be notified to the yard owner so we can fix or replace
- Any Children brought to the yard must be under the supervision of an adult, no child under 16 can be left at the yard unsupervised
- Appropiate Clothing must be worn when at the yard
- No smoking at any time on our premises
- Noise must be kept to reasonable standards in respect of neighbours
- Please do not park in front of the garage on the layby and please park with respect of the neighbours
- Please do not feed or go in with other livestock on the farm, without permission
- If payment for Retirement and services that is due, remains unpaid for over 3 months, the owner agrees that the yard owner may sell or have the horse destroyed by a vet using the bond of £100 which was given to the yard at the beginning of the Retirement contract, if sold any monies will be recovered and the balance if any left will be returned to the owner.
- Two weeks notice must be given by either party to terminate the Retirement agreement. (2 weeks notice given by the horse owner to leave or by the yard owner to ask the livery to leave)
This agreement shall last for the whole Retirement term.
